In this role will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations, including maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end and year-end close processes. Responsibilities :

As a Permanent Senior Accountant (HVAC) - CPA, you will be tasked with :

1. Overseeing the daily operations of our accounting department, including accounts payable / receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, and utilities.

2. Ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.

3. Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.

4. Developing periodic reports for management.

5. Auditing financial documents and procedures, reconciling bank statements, and calculating tax payments and returns.

6. Meeting financial accounting objectives and preparing budget forecasts.

7. Implementing and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards, including GAAP.

8. Working closely with other departments to drive financial performance and operational decision-making.

9. Analyzing costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.

10. Developing systems to process payroll and track expenses.

Qualifications :

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Senior Accountant (HVAC) - CPA position will have :

1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master’s degree will be considered an asset.

2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within the HVAC industry.

3. CPA certification preferred

4. Proficiency in accounting software.

5. Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting procedures and legislation.

6. Exceptional analytical skills and a strong attention to detail.

7. Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.

8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

9. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.

10. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

11. Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly in Excel.
