JOB PURPOSE : Safely and efficiently manage all underground and surface maintenance activities to support mining and coal movement activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE :

Develops and establishes safety action plans, pre-work examinations and internal safety monitoring to meet the organization's safety and health objectives. Utilize Wolverine SAP Electronic system which utilizes work orders, Back logs and equipment history. . Need to believe mines can work injury free. Manage the Predictive maintenance program by utilizing vibration, Thermal, Ultrasound, Oil samples, etc....

Leading all Surface / UG Electrical and Maintenance programs and department. Set goals and expectations for the maintenance department and monitor progress. Plan and coordinate maintenance activities with other departments Follow up on break downs and get to why a failure happened and plan how to eliminate or get replaced prior to causing production delays Follow all Federal, State, Company laws and regulations. Ensure communications are completed with appropriate managers, ensuring all maintenance activities are addressed. Monitor and control operational costs develop and implement cost control measures. Work with other members of management and the workforce in maintaining a union free operation. Actively support the company's viewpoint Review and oversee specifications for various capital equipment purchases, rebuilds etc.

PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :

• A minimum of five years of progressive supervisory experience. Coordinator or above position.
• Demonstrated ability to lead others and work with others.
• S. Mech. Eng., Mining Eng., or technical field preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communications skills both written and oral.
• Excellent safety and attendance record.
• Utah Mine Foreman Certification or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• MSHA electrical certification Surface and Underground or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• Self-directed.

POSITION WILL REPORT TO : General Manager of Sufco Mine.
