Job Title

Position Purpose

Maintains hospital campus grounds including snow removal, service vehicles and grounds equipment to assure a safe and pleasant environment of care.

What You Will Do

• Maintains the hospital campus grounds in a safe and clean condition.
• Mows and trims grass to proper seasonal height.
• Maintains flower beds, trees and shrubs using contract services as needed to supplement own activities.
• Performs daily rounds of the grounds to inspect for safety and sanitary problems and correct discrepancies.
• Keeps all walks, roads, and parking lots clear of ice and snow.
• Maintains and performs minor repairs on engineering vehicles and grounds equipment in a manner that assures their safe and efficient operation.
• Maintains an adequate level of lawn care supplies and spare parts to assure the ongoing operation of the grounds keeping operations.
• Responds immediately to calls for all service functions and special projects to ensure the safety and operation of the facility.
• Assists other trades when instructed by the engineering supervisor.
• Able to use large equipment for plowing and lifting.
