Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal to join our team and support attorneys in handling a wide range of family law matters. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working directly with clients while managing complex case files in a fast-paced environment.
Job Description:
Draft, review, and file pleadings, discovery, financial disclosures, and other legal documents in family law cases
Assist attorneys in preparing for hearings, mediations, and trials, including organizing exhibits and evidence
Maintain and organize case files, ensuring deadlines are tracked and met
Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel in a professional and timely manner
Conduct factual research and gather supporting documentation for case preparation
Support attorneys with high-conflict custody matters, spousal support, and complex property division cases
Qualifications:
Strong background in family law with experience supporting attorneys in contested custody and asset division matters
Active knowledge of California family law procedures, court rules, and filings
Proficiency with legal software and case management systems
Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff
Commitment to meeting a 1650 billable hour requirement annually
