CDL OTR HOTSHOT DRIVER

Pay: $1,400.00 - $1,700.00 per week plus bonus

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable OTR Hotshot Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves delivering freight efficiently and safely across various routes, utilizing specialized equipment such as a 40 ft flatbed truck. The ideal candidate will have extensive driving experience, a strong safety record. This position offers an exciting opportunity for professional growth in the trucking industry with a focus on route driving and timely deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Operate a 40ft hotshot truck and trailer
• Brand New Equipment
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
• Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols
• Manage delivery schedules to ensure timely pickups and drop-offs across designated routes
• Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, mileage logs, and freight records
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates or issues encountered during transit
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical concerns promptly
• Must be able to stay out 2 weeks at a time (5 days off)

Qualifications

• Valid Missouri commercial driver’s license (CDL A) with medical card
• Must live in the Kansas City area with a Missouri CDL license or no more than 1 hour from KC
• Must have 2 plus years of verifiable experience
• Experience with a 40ft hotshot truck is required or flatbed trailer
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in commercial driving
• Ability to drive 500 to 600 miles a day
• Excellent navigation skills with familiarity in route planning for efficient deliveries
• Reliable work ethic with a clean driving record and commitment to safety standards
• No felonies since we deal with military loads
• Must be able to pass a drug test
