About The Position

Job Title : Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist

Experience : Minimum 2 years current CT experience

License : Massachusetts

Certifications : ARRT (CT) Certification, BLS (AHA)

Must-Have :

• X-ray experience
• Ability to function independently and proficiently in a high-stress, work-intensive environment
• Traveler must have their own vehicle

Description :

This is a CT / X-ray Technologist position.

Primarily, CT will be needed for this role, but X-ray experience is also required.

Requested time off during the course of this assignment must be noted and verified at upload.

Requests for time off after upload will not be approved.

No more than five days of requested time off will be accepted.

For holiday coverage, travelers are required to work two of the following :

Thanksgiving and the Friday / weekend after,

Christmas Eve / Christmas Day and the Friday / weekend after,

New Year’s Eve / New Year Day and the Friday / weekend after.

Extensions requested to end in November or before the holidays in December will not be considered.

Proper care of the client in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures is required.

May be responsible for assigned areas, supervision, or instruction to department personnel.

Excellent communication skills in written, verbal, and electronic formats are required.

Practices infection control in clinical practice in compliance with departmental policies and OSHA standards.

Maintains patient confidentiality.

Demonstrates proper operation of PACS, HIS, and RIS computer systems.

Demonstrates the ability to operate and troubleshoot CR, DR, CT, and PACS applications.

Completes annual mandatory education, including bloodborne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation.

Maintains department competencies as required.

Technologist will be required to perform primary diagnostic Radiology and CT Scan tasks, including IV insertion and injections.

All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission.

Compliance with scheduling requirements is mandatory.

Profile requirements include work history, skills checklist, and supervisory reference within the past two years of employment.
