Building Materials Buyer

Topsider Building Systems, Inc., designers, and fabricators of high-end, custom post and beam residential homes and light commercial structures sold and shipped worldwide since 1968, seeks an experienced building materials buyer. Topsider is a manufacturer, not a builder or construction firm. This is not a remote position.

REQUIREMENTS :

• Minimum five (5) years purchasing experience in a building materials supplier, lumber yard, production-oriented construction environment, building prefabrication, or job shop-based manufacturing setting.
• PAST EXPERIENCE IN BUILDING MATERIALS PURCHASING IS A REQUIREMENT. (Purchased items include : lumber, plywood, OSB, laminated beams and timbers, siding, insulation, structural steel, fasteners, windows, doors, decking, flooring, cabinets & countertops, freight, etc.).
• College degree or equivalent experience.
• High level of proficiency in Excel.
• Solid organizational skills.

SALARY : $65k to start, based on qualifications and experience.
