Travel Nurse Job Details

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing Assignment

Start Date : November 17, 2025

End Date : February 16, 2026

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Nights, 6 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM (12-hour shifts), every other weekend required

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1880 - $2020

Call Requirements : 2 x 12-hour call shifts per 6 weeks (one must be a weekend shift)

Unit : Labor & Delivery (13 beds)

Patient Ratio : 1 : 1 or 1 : 2 depending on acuity

EMR Systems : CPN (GE) and Cerner

Scrub Color : Navy Blue

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience in a hospital setting

At least 1 completed travel nurse assignment in Labor & Delivery

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Georgia or compact state)

BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required

Ability to pass an EKG test

Experience with CPN and Cerner EMR systems preferred

L&D RN Responsibilities

Monitor and assist laboring patients throughout antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases

Communicate effectively with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members

Circulate in the operating room for cesarean sections

Competently triage obstetric patients 20 weeks gestation and above

Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education and training

Delegate patient care priorities and supervise assigned nursing personnel

Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in patient care planning
