Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Computer Science teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will ignite curiosity and creativity in students by building upon their prior experiences with technology and introducing foundational concepts in computer science, programming, and digital literacy. The candidate will employ a balanced approach of direct instruction, hands-on exploration, and collaborative problem solving to help students develop computational thinking skills and confidence in using technology to create, innovate, and solve real world challenges. This teacher will foster an inclusive and engaging classroom environment where all learners feel supported as they experiment, iterate, and grow. The ideal candidate will integrate age-appropriate tools such as block based and introductory text based programming languages and digital media applications to provide students with meaningful opportunities to apply their learning. This candidate will also work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure that curriculum, assessments, and instructional practices are aligned and effectively support student growth.

• Exemplifies a Christ-like attitude in both written and verbal communication
• Ministers and prays with others; communicates the love of Jesus to further the mission of the School. Attend, participate, and lead faculty devotions and Chapel on a rotating basis
• Approachable, with an appropriate balance of high expectations, patience, and mentorship
• A team-player who is willing to listen to the ideas, concerns, and solutions of others
• Knowledgeable and competent in areas of safe school culture necessary to support school's mission
