Overview
Software Application Support Engineer - SQL / Financial Services. Our client is a prestigious, global investment firm with 20+ years in the industry. The headquarters are in Greenwich, Connecticut. The firm has over 500 employees and manages more than $150B for various institutional investors. They are seeking an additional Application Support Engineer to join their team and support various software applications throughout the business.
Responsibilities
- Provide application / production support with hands-on SQL experience
- Investigate logs and perform root-cause analysis
- Diagnose issues, debug, and collaborate across teams to resolve problems
- Support users via phone, email, and in-person communications
Qualifications
2+ years of professional experience in Application / Production Support with hands-on SQL experienceStrong passion for Support Engineering and ongoing growth in application support and system reliabilityExperience with log investigation and root-cause analysisExperience diagnosing issues, debugging, and working across teams to resolve issuesStrong communication skills and ability to support users via multiple channelsDegree in IT, Computer Science or STEM related fieldTeam playerExperience supporting financial / trading and / or mission-critical applicationsLocation, Schedule & Responsibilities Details
