Our customer recently won a federal contract to provide Information Technology Support Services (ITSS) for the U.S. Mint, awarded by the Department of the Treasury. US Mint HQ is within walking distance of the DC Metro subway stop Gallery Pl‑Chinatown.
Responsibilities
- Lead application migration to Microsoft Azure, moving 78‑80% of non‑manufacturing legacy applications to the cloud.
- Design hybrid cloud architecture interoperable with on‑premises data center environments, supporting Nutanix hypervisor on‑premises applications.
- Modernize IT Service Management (ITSM) to streamline and improve service delivery.
- Enhance the operations center with advanced monitoring, incident response, and uptime capabilities.
- Drive project and program management initiatives, aligning IT delivery with business goals.
- Redefine and document the agency’s EA practices and repository using OMB guidance, Federal Enterprise Architecture Reference Models, and industry best practices.
- Maintain and update the EA repository, ensuring alignment with Treasury standards and policies.
- Develop and maintain enterprise‑level models, diagrams, and canvases (baseline / target states, capability maps, system interaction models).
- Support the Architecture Review Board and governance processes, preparing review materials and documentation.
- Provide mentoring, documentation, and knowledge transfer to improve internal EA capabilities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in IT or related disciplines.Minimum of four (4) years of experience with EA modeling tools and repository platforms.Experience with EA data modeling tools (e.g., Sparx, ER / Studio, Erwin), SharePoint, and common desktop tools.Proficiency in importing, exporting, and managing EA data, and experience with information repository development.Understanding of enterprise‑level business functions, processes, and solutions in the manufacturing industry.Experience producing architecture models, diagrams, and visualizations linked to data repositories.Ability to support ARB reviews, creating presentation‑ready artifacts and complying with EA standards.Experience with business modeling techniques (macro and micro level) and impact analysis, helping organizations understand and manage enterprise architecture.Strong communication skills; ability to work with business and IT stakeholders.Knowledge of OMB and Treasury EA guidance.Desired Certifications
