JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Human Resources will lead the development and execution of the company’s HR strategy, including the build-out of internal HR infrastructure, benefits, talent acquisition, compliance, compensation, employee relations, performance management, training, and culture development, while also fostering an environment of respect, inclusion, and growth for all employees.
This position is responsible for supporting the implementation of all human resources policies, procedures, programs, and systems. This includes, but not limited to, recruitment, on-boarding, employee relations, employee recognition and retention, compensation, benefits, employee records, employee communication, and compliance with regulatory requirements within corporate and the hospital systems.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops and implements strategic Human Resources plans with a strong focus on human capital practices, employee relations, performance management, employee communications, employee engagement and retention activities and, in conjunction with CEO and CFO, the strategic compensation and benefits.
- Maintains employee database (HRIS) including, but not limited to personnel files, personnel policies and procedures, benefits, salary information, job descriptions, performance appraisals, time and attendance, and hiring / termination records.
- Oversee the design and implementation of all employee benefit plans (medical, dental, retirement, etc.) while managing relationships with brokers, carriers, and other vendors.
- Manage the annual open enrollment process and ensure the accuracy of all benefit-related billing and payroll deductions through regular audits and system reviews.
- Serve as the go-to expert for employees, answering complex questions about coverage and claims, and assisting with worker's compensation filings when needed.
- Serve as the critical link between HR and Financial Services, ensuring payroll accuracy by reviewing all employee changes (promotions, terminations, benefit elections) before each pay run.
- Act as the main point of contact for employee payroll inquiries and process miscellaneous payments, such as reimbursements and stipends, for inclusion in the payroll.
- Prepare and distribute key payroll data to relevant departments after each pay cycle and provide financial analysis of personnel costs as needed.
- Ensure institutional compliance by reviewing and submitting critical annual filings (Form 5500, 1095-c) and proactively auditing employment conditions and practices to mitigate risk.
- Assure accuracy of time and attendance records. Monitors the training requirements and certifications of staff to ensure all are current including assigned compliance training.
- Prepares, communicates, and maintains appropriate documentation for establishing employee benefits coverage, updates employee benefits records, to ensure compliance with benefits regulations.
- Manages and monitors the Workers Compensation program along with FMLA policies / procedures / processes.
- This position supervises all functions of the Human Resource Department. Responsible for working with department leaders for compliance with federal and state laws regarding personnel policies. Must be able to effectively work with all hospital departments for various aspects of the position.
REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Human Resources discipline or relevant experience.Master’s degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, or related field is preferred.CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE
