This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with a hybrid schedule (3 days in-office, 2 days remote).

This role can be based in Hartford, CT or Parsippany, NJ.

They’re seeking someone with a strong legal billing background — ideally 5+ years of experience — who’s comfortable managing the full billing cycle from initial bill creation through collections.

The right person will be detail-oriented, proactive, and confident working directly with attorneys and clients in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities Manage billing and collections processes, including electronic billing and rate structures Partner closely with attorneys to track unbilled time, manage accounts receivable, and resolve issues Respond to client inquiries and assist with collection efforts in a professional, service-oriented manner Maintain and analyze client billing agreements, guidelines, and alternative fee arrangements Research and resolve billing discrepancies or short payments Generate monthly statements and ensure accurate recordkeeping Support the team through cross-training, and assist with training new attorneys and assistants on billing tools What They’re Looking For 5+ years of experience in legal billing and collections within a mid- to large-size law firm Proficiency with Aderant Expert, Paperless Prebill, and e-billing platforms (TyMetrix, Serengeti, etc.) Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formatting, formulas) and working knowledge of Word and Outlook Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills Ability to work independently and handle competing priorities under tight deadlines Compensation & Benefits Salary range : $75K–$90K, depending on experience Discretionary annual bonus and merit-based increases Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k), and PTO If you have solid law firm billing experience and are looking for a stable, professional environment with room to grow, I’d love to connect and share more details.
