Medical Doctor (Hospitalist / Oncology)

University of Kentucky HealthCare is actively recruiting full-time Hospitalists to join our dynamic academic team. We are seeking Internal Medicine-trained physicians who are looking to build a long-term career in hospital medicine with opportunities for clinical excellence, education, research, and leadership. Faculty positions are full-time (1.0 FTE), non-tenure track, with academic rank commensurate with experience.

Position Highlights :

~7-on / 7-off schedule -Working 25 weeks of service per year

~ Average daily census of 14

~ Closed ICU

~ No call responsibilities except for 2 weeks per year under a “jeopardy system” (rare back-up coverage)

Required Qualifications :

Education : MD or equivalent degree

Experience : Completion of residency in Internal Medicine

Licensure / Certification : Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine. Eligible for Kentucky Medical licensure at time of employment
