Overview

The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform connects tutors with thousands of students for online PSAT Writing Skills tutoring. As a tutor on the platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make an impact on students’ learning journeys — from home.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1-on-1 online PSAT Writing Skills tutoring to students.
  • Explain concepts clearly and adapt lessons to different learning styles.
  • Tutor remotely using our Live Learning Platform and engage students with the platform’s features.
  • Leverage the AI-powered Tutor Copilot to enhance sessions with real-time support, lesson generation, and engagement tools.
  • Handle invoicing and logistics as applicable; payments are managed by Varsity Tutors.

What We Look For

  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
  • Expertise in PSAT Writing Skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly.
  • Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
  • Preference given to those with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education.

    • Compensation & Benefits

  • Base contract rates start at $18 / hour and increase for specialized subjects; pay can reach up to $40 / hour with the same student sessions.
  • Get paid up to twice per week for sessions you conduct and invoice.
  • Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like.
  • Remote tutoring with the Live Learning Platform — no commuting required.
  • AI-powered Tutor Copilot to support your sessions and save prep time.
  • We handle logistics; you invoice for sessions and we manage payments.
