Job Title

Select and purchase quality products and materials. Materials include weldments, machine fabrications, screws, etc.

Build relationships with current suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing.

Process requisitions and update teams on status of orders.

Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.

Arrange transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery.

Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.

Coordinate with the inventory team, management, and stockroom as required.

Assess quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management.

High school diploma is a must, bachelors degree is preferred

Ability to multitask or to assist in different department functions

3+ years of purchasing within heavy manufacturing

Intermediate Level

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $34.00 / hr.
