Staff Accountant

Our client, a dynamic and expanding company in New York City, is seeking a Staff Accountant to support core accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance across multiple business units. This Staff Accountant role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is looking to grow within corporate finance.

Salary / Hourly Rate :

$75k - $95k plus Bonus

Position Overview :

The Staff Accountant will assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements, support internal and external audits, maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, collaborate with FP&A and other departments, help implement and improve accounting policies and controls, and contribute to financial reporting packages and variance analyses.

Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant :

• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and analysis.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Collaborate with FP&A and other departments to ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Help implement and improve accounting policies, procedures, and controls.
• Contribute to financial reporting packages and variance analyses.
