We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Manager to join a leading paper packaging manufacturing company located in the Pryor, Oklahoma area. This role offers an exciting opportunity to spearhead strategic HR initiatives in a unionized manufacturing setting, contributing significantly to a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
This HR leader will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's people strategy and driving organizational excellence across a unionized, 24 / 7 manufacturing environment. This is a high-impact leadership position for an experienced HR professional who thrives in both strategic and hands-on roles someone who can partner with operations, influence leadership decisions, and foster a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement. In this role, you'll serve as the primary liaison between management and union representatives, guiding labor relations strategies, grievance resolution, and contract negotiations while maintaining a balanced, collaborative approach. You'll lead a team of HR professionals, oversee recruiting and retention efforts, and ensure compliance across all facets of HR from safety and wellness programs to succession planning and employee development.
Compensation and Benefits :
- Competitive salary range of $120,000 - $145,000 plus profit-sharing bonus

Key Responsibilities :
Act as the primary liaison between management and union representatives to foster effective communication.Lead and manage grievance investigations, disciplinary actions, and arbitration processes.Support contract negotiations and labor strategy development effectively.Utilize extensive employee relations experience to manage collective bargaining agreements.Promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture and provide coaching to supervisors and employees.Conduct thorough investigations to resolve employee concerns promptly and fairly.Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies for both hourly and salaried positions.Collaborate with operations to ensure adequate staffing levels for 24 / 7 production demands.Support performance management, succession planning, and employee development initiatives.Lead and mentor a team of three HR professionals to achieve HR objectives and initiatives.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.Maintain accurate HR records and facilitate HR analytics reporting.Lead safety and wellness initiatives in collaboration with EHS teams.Analyze key HR metrics and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.Facilitate effective communication of HR initiatives and company announcements.Promote change initiatives through proactive communication and strong relationship building.Introduce and support continuous improvement concepts to achieve desired outcomes.Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (equivalent experience will be considered).Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment in roles such as HR Generalist, HRBP, or HR Manager.Strong experience with union labor relations, including contract interpretation and grievance administration.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Extensive operational knowledge of HR disciplines, including compensation, benefits, health management, and talent development.Experience in paper, pulp, or similar heavy manufacturing industries is preferred.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.Proven ability to build trust and credibility with both hourly and salaried employees.Hands-on leadership style with a strong sense of urgency and approachability.International Staffing Consultants, Inc. has provided recruiting and staffing services for employers in America and overseas since 1979.
