Job description

Exciting opportunity for an Emergency Department Psychiatrist at the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System

The Bay Pines VA Healthcare System is seeking a skilled and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our Emergency Department team. This critical role offers the opportunity to provide immediate mental health care to Veterans during a time of crisis in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide Triage and perform rapid psychiatric evaluations and risk assessments
  • Collaborate with emergency medicine and an interdisciplinary team to stabilize patient
  • Coordinate care transitions, including inpatient admission or outpatient treatment

Call coverage : 2-3 weekends a year

NO STATE INCOME TAX

Student Loan Repayment available

Academic opportunity with Nova University available

Work schedule : Monday-Friday, 8 : 00am-4 : 30pm

  • Board-certified / board-eligible in Adult Psychiatry
  • Active, unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory.
  • Strong clinical decision-making skills under pressure.
