Critical Care / ICU Nurse Practitioner

Work Details :

Support staff : Nursing, RT, NCC attending, + / - additional APPs

Amount of coverage needed per month : 3 night shifts per week

Patients per day : 10-20 patients, will not see them all but see based on acuity

Patient population / age : Adult ICU (>

18yo) with primary neurologic diagnosis

Department description : Neuro ICU - 24 hour APP in house coverage with neurointensivist support (formal daily rounding; phone availability overnight); comprehensive adult ICU patient management (closed unit) with primary neurologic diagnoses

EMR : EPIC

Hospital bed size : 446 - 16 bed unit in level I trauma academic research hospital in downtown New Orleans
