Hydrovac Operator / CDL Driver

We are seeking a skilled Hydrovac Operator / CDL Driver to join our team. The Hydrovac Operator / CDL Driver will be responsible for operating and maintaining hydro excavation equipment to safely and efficiently complete excavation projects.

• Responsibilities
• Operate hydrovac equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Demonstrate a clear understanding on how to operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Maintain safe and efficient work environment for co-works and pedestrians.
• Must maintain tooling and keep in compliance with SCG standards.
• Provide daily reports
• Identify hazards on jobsites and take corrective measures
• Promptness / Punctuality is required every day
• Must maintain a professional demeanor with other employees and clients
• Must be able to problem solve quickly to maintain job productivity.
• Adhered to Gunter Construction Company's employee hand book, our clients OPM and Best Practices
• Experience
• Must have have atleast 1 year Hyrdo Vac experience
• Class A CDL required with no restrictions and must have tanker endorsement
• Must have a general understanding of underground utilities
• Familiarity with hydro excavation techniques is a plus
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and safety consciousness
• Physical and Mental Requirements
• Sit and / or stand for long periods of time
• Stoop, kneel, and crouch
• Use fingers, hand and arms to reach for, handle, and manipulate objects
• Climb up and down ladders, slopes and loose soil
• Work on uneven surfaces and various heights, with fall protection
• See and hear well (either naturally or with correction).
• Must be able to work in tight and confined spaces
• Must be able to push and pull 50lbs to 100lbs.
• Must be able to pick up 50lbs.
• Must be able to comprehend and follow directions
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Work Environment
• Work around equipment that is loud and noisy
• Work in extreme temperatures with dust and debris
• Work around moving equipment
• Work in confined and tight areas.
• Majority of work will be outside the truck in variety of weather conditions.
• Must be able to perform physical labor in the heat, cold, rain, or snow.

Job Type : Full-time

Pay : $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
