Job Details – Colorado Nursing Jobs Location : Alamosa, Colorado (81101) – Gateway to the San Luis Valley and the Great Sand Dunes National Park Job Title : ICU Registered Nurse – Critical Care Float Pool Employment Type : Travel Nursing Contract Facility Type : Acute Care Hospital Unit : Float Pool (ICU & Med Surg) Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : November 3, 2025 – End : February 2, 2026) Shift : Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (18 : 00 – 06 : 00) Hours per Week : 36 (guaranteed) Estimated Weekly Pay : $1,710 - $1,750 Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Floating : Required within ICU, Med Surg, and to a sister facility 15 minutes away Charting System : MediTech Expanse Scrub Color : Employee preference Parking : Free, unrestricted spaces Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent ICU and Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience Previous travel RN experience required Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Colorado or compact state) – must be in hand at submission Certifications required : ACLS, BLS, PALS; NIHSS and TNCC preferred Med Surg nursing experience required Proficient in para / thoracentesis, intubation, central and arterial line placement, dysrhythmia management, ventilator care Ability to float between ICU, Med Surg, and nearby sister facility Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 – March 31) Two supervisor references from the last 18 months required Charting experience with MediTech preferred; Paragon and Practice Partner experience a plus ICU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care to adult and geriatric populations in ICU and Med Surg units Respond to rapid response calls as part of the interdisciplinary healthcare team Perform and assist with specialized procedures : para / thoracentesis, intubation, central and arterial line placement Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias; care for ventilated patients Administer emergency medications and blood products Manage and titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips Provide infection prevention, wound care, and proper PPE usage Float between ICU, Med Surg, and sister facility as needed Document all care in MediTech Expanse EHR Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, etc.) Ready to join one of the top Colorado nursing jobs?
