Job Duties and Responsibilities :

The Assembly Crewmember works in ECMD's stair part manufacturing facility and is responsible for assembling combinations of stair treads and risers to make various styles of starting steps such as half circle-one end, half circle-two ends, double bullnose, quarter circle, large and small circles, and false circle end. The crewmember is also responsible for assembling box newels. The operator is responsible for the quality requirements of the parts used as well as for the quality of the assembly operation.

Requirements :

• The ability to use and read a tape measure
• Experience using a Chop saw and band saw
• Experience using other wood working hand tools
• Occasionally lift and carry loads up to 40 pounds.
• Must wear safety shoes / glasses / ear protection at all times.
• Experience in wood / furniture manufacturing in general
• Must be able to follow instructions and interact with other crewmembers
• Must be willing to be cross trained to do other job functions within other departments
