Now for the exciting news! We’ve expanded our services and have an immediate opening for a  Traffic Design Engineer-In-Training (EIT) . This is the perfect opportunity for someone with a few years of experience and their EIT or EI certification who is looking to take the next step in their career. In this role, you will collaborate with our principals and project managers on a mix of traffic design and traffic operations projects throughout the pacific northwest.

What You’ll Do

• Assist in the design of traffic engineering projects such as signing / striping, traffic control plans, traffic signals, street lighting, ITS, etc.
• Assist in the preparation of PS&E under the guidance of licensed engineers
• Conduct field reviews and data collection to support design and analysis
• Support projects by performing traffic impact studies, corridor studies, and safety analysis, and utilize software tools to perform traffic impact analysis modelling
• Stay current with local, state, and federal design standards and guidelines
