Job Purpose : Operation of the Press Brake Machine

FLSA Status : Hourly Non-Exempt

Job Duties / Responsibilities :

• Independently set up & operate Amada Press Brake Machine
• Ensure proper tooling and fixturing as well as reporting operation times Interfacing with programmers, engineers and other team members for problem solving
• Work within tolerances of +-.005 in sheet metal up to ¼ thick
• Can perform single and multiple set ups on single brake
• Program and form parts at press brake using blueprint within designated tolerance
• Record inspection measurements using dial / digital calipers, protractors, and height gages
• Work with aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and copper materials
• Study, understand, and follow assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, job travelers, facility procedures, and parts list
• Maintain orderliness of product, equipment, tools, supplies, ESD, part handling and inventory points within Fabrication
• Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or by reading measurements
• Report assembly, equipment, material, and / or quality problems to Manager to obtain additional resources or direction
• Complete preventive maintenance per schedule / instructions
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with PPE procedures, work rules, and regulations
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms
• Contribute to a team effort by accomplishing related tasks, or rotating through different processes / jobs as required or directed
• Operate per established Company Policies and Procedures
• Other tasks as assigned by Management
