About the Role :

The Vice President of Operations (VP of Ops) plays a pivotal role in driving the strategic and operational success of PHRI’s Substance Use Disorder (SUD) facility. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the VP of Ops ensures operational excellence, regulatory compliance, financial health, and exceptional care delivery across all programs. This leader will champion innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement while upholding PHRI’s mission, values, and commitment to quality care.

What You’ll Do :

Lead and oversee daily operations across all departments — clinical, medical, administrative, and facilities.

Ensure full compliance with CARF, ASAM, Medicaid, Medicare, and state licensing standards.

Collaborate with the Medical Director and Program Directors to integrate clinical excellence with operational efficiency.

Develop and manage annual budgets, optimize the revenue cycle, and ensure financial sustainability.

Partner with HR to drive effective staff recruitment, retention, development, and performance management .

Establish and maintain operational policies, SOPs, and safety protocols in alignment with best practices.

Execute strategic initiatives such as program expansion, payer contracting, and service line development .

Lead Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) and patient safety initiatives to achieve measurable outcomes.

Serve as liaison between executive leadership, referral partners, payers, and external stakeholders.

Monitor census, utilization, and patient flow to ensure seamless service delivery.

What You’ll Bring :

Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field (required).

10+ years of progressive leadership experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, or healthcare operations.

Strong understanding of ASAM levels of care , CARF accreditation standards , and payer regulations .

Proven success in managing budgets, revenue cycles, and financial performance .

Exceptional ability to lead diverse teams, manage change, and foster a culture of accountability and excellence.

Superior communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.

Passion for recovery-oriented, patient-centered care.
