The Administrative Assistant helps manage Utah Transit Authority programs that provide public transportation, including services for disabled adults and seniors. May perform duties relating to the Management Service Specialist position within the department and dispatch services.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
- Oversight responsibility for UTA expenditures. Works directly with the supervisor to ensure compliance.
- Ability to prepare statistical data for the UTA program, which includes, but is not limited to, daily mileage reports and monthly ridership (Pax Tally Report). Responsible for the sale of monthly passes, collecting money, and processing corresponding reports.
- Receives daily / weekly receipts from UTA drivers and ensures accurate and complete records are maintained in the computer.
- Responsible for quarterly UTA driver audits.
- Coordinate travel training, outreach, and working with the community to educate other entities on all Transportation programs.
- Required to attend URSTA (Utah's Urban & Rural Specialized Transportation Association) training and conference annually. Attending the quarterly UTA CAT (Citizens for accessible transportation) meetings.
- Attending the quarterly UTA CAT (Citizens for accessible transportation) meetings.
- Maintains UTA driver's daily log and other program supplies as needed.
- Track and enter data into the computer system as directed.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
High school graduate or GED equivalent.
Must have a valid Utah State Driver's License and a clean driving record.
AND
Three (3) years of general responsible work experience relating to the UTA or Public Transportation Programs.
Or
An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to lift to 25 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and / or carrying of objects weighing up to 15 pounds. Even though the weight lifted may only be a negligible amount, a job is in this category may require walking or standing to a significant degree.
