Position Description
The School of STEM at Avila University is seeking qualified adjunct instructors for Biological Sciences. Responsibilities include :
- Teaching lectures and labs for courses such as Introductory Biology (Cells, Genes, Ecology, Evolution, Environmental Science, Organismal Biology).
- Conducting all class sessions as scheduled.
- Providing instruction, activities, assignments, assessments, and feedback to meet course objectives.
- Delivering content effectively, accommodating students with diverse abilities, backgrounds, and levels of preparation.
- Collaborating with the program Chair and Laboratory Manager.
- Performing other duties related to courses as needed.
Qualifications
Master's degree or higher in a relevant discipline, or a Master's degree with 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline.Commitment to teaching excellence.Experience with diverse populations (preferred).Multilingual skills (highly preferred).Ability to support a diverse student body, including first-generation college students, multilingual learners, and contributions to equity and social justice.Additional Information
Stipend varies based on credit hours and experience.
