Position Overview :
The Vice President of Sales (VP of Sales) leads the development and implementation of the sales strategy with the goal of meeting revenue targets and maximizing profitability. This senior leadership position is centered on cultivating and overseeing a top-performing sales team, expanding market presence, strengthening client relationships, and aligning sales initiatives with the company's overall strategic direction. The VP of Sales plays a key role in planning, budgeting, team development, and accelerating growth through both new customer acquisition and client retention.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage the roofing sales team to meet or exceed sales targets, while fostering a performance-driven culture.
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan that aligns with corporate growth objectives and market opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing to drive lead generation, campaign effectiveness, and brand positioning in the market.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities for growth.
- Establish KPIs, sales forecasts, and reporting systems to monitor performance and guide decision-making.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of sales team members to build skill sets and ensure consistent execution.
- Strengthen relationships with key accounts, clients, builders, and referral partners to support ongoing business development.
- Coordinate with operations, production, and customer service teams to ensure seamless hand-offs and high customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a robust understanding of company offerings, pricing strategies, and contract terms to support sales team effectiveness.
Secondary Duties :
Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings to promote brand visibility and build relationships.Contribute to cross-functional initiatives that support operational efficiency and strategic planning.Partner with the finance team to ensure sales activities align with budgetary and margin expectations.Evaluate sales technologies, tools, and CRM systems for improvement and scalability.Continuously monitor and improve customer feedback processes to support service excellence and reputation management.Other duties as assigned.Requirements :
Education & Experience :
Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related work experience preferred.Minimum of 5 years of progressive sales leadership experience, preferably in the roofing, construction, or building materials industry.Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue goals and leading high-performing sales teams.Strong understanding of residential roofing markets, products, and sales cycles.Experience with CRM systems, pipeline management, and sales analytics tools.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and execution.Reporting :
This position reports directly to the Regional President of Medallion Roofing and collaborates closely with leadership in Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Human Resources to ensure integrated business success.
