- Standards of Professional Performance : The ANA Standards of Professional Performance illustrate the expected conduct in the professional role, covering ethics, cultural congruence, communication, collaboration, and leadership.\n\nQualifications\n\nEducation : \nGraduation from an accredited nursing school; a BSN is preferred. Certification in BCLS is required within one month of hire.\n\nExperience : \nThis role serves as the foundational position for all RNs, with encouragement to advance through the SPIRE clinical advancement program.\n\nLicensure : \nMust be a licensed and registered nurse in the State of Connecticut. Clinical specialty certification is highly encouraged.\n\nSpecial Skills : \nThis foundational role encourages all RNs to pursue advancement opportunities.\n\nPhysical Demand : \nThe role requires prolonged standing and walking, eyesight, hearing, and touch. Nurses may encounter infectious diseases and deal with potentially stressful situations, including end-of-life care.
