Special Education Teacher (Mod / Sev)

Birch Agency, a nationally recognized company in educational services, is looking for a dedicated Special Education Teacher RSP (Moderate / Severe) to join our team in McClellan Park, CA! Job Details : Start : ASAP

Monday-Friday (40 hrs / week)

Age group TBD

Moderate / Severe

RSP

Pay dependent on experience; $50-60 / hr

Qualifications :

Master's degree in Special Education from an accredited institution

Valid state license or certification for Moderate / Severe Education Specialist

Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting, with a strong emphasis on supporting those with special needs

Responsibilities :

As a Special Education Teacher with Birch Agency, you will :

Provide direct / group instructions to students with disabilities

Develop lesson plans / instructional material to meet needs of students IEP

Conduct educational assessments

Attend IEP meetings

Assist in planning and development of IEP

Facilitate implementation of special education services

Collaborate with other members who are part of the special education team

Employ a variety of teaching styles to respond to needs of diverse learners

Effectively communicate with parents / caregivers and staff to support students academic success

Modify traditional education curriculum to meet students needs

Ensure appropriate accommodations are available for classroom instruction and testing

Employ techniques for positive behavioral support

Assist in the collection of data for providing appropriate classroom interventions
