POSITION : Maintenance Technician
LEVEL : IV
DEPARTMENT : Production
REPORTS TO : Director of Manufacturing
PURPOSE : Maintain the facility and machinery in safe and good working order.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
ACCOUNTABILITY : Machines must be operating to generate profits. This position sets a standard for safety and quality. Our fast-paced, deadline oriented environment requires cross-training in a variety of disciplines. We must utilize our technology to its fullest.
ANNUAL CONTINIUING EDUCATION : 40 hours
ECONOMIC INDICATOR : Machine Working Hours
JOB SKILLS & EDUCATION : High School diploma plus vocational training. Certified to drive a forklift, valid drivers license and insurance. M ath aptitude, ability to use gages and measurement tools. Able to read engineering drawings and mechanical / electrical schematics. Knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, basic construction and mechanical systems (pneumatic and hydraulic) and machines such as resistance welders, punch presses, press brakes, forming machines, mills and lathes, compressors, and straight & cut machines, MIG and TIG welding, and CNC technology. Ability to identify / analyze problems and make recommendations, bring projects to completion without constant supervision. Detail oriented, excellent written and verbal communications skills, basic computer and internet skills, ability to identify problems, analyze and make decisions, able to bring projects to completion, able to work well and instruct others. Minimum 3 years experience
