Material Handler

As a Material Handler, you will be involved in all aspects of seed production, both indoors and outdoors. This role includes processing and packaging seeds, as well as planting and pollinating activities. You will play a critical role in maintaining equipment and ensuring the accuracy of data collection and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Engage in indoor seed processing and packaging activities such as receiving, scanning, cleaning, treating, sorting, counting, labeling, and warehousing seeds.
• Participate in outdoor activities including planting, pollinating, note-taking, data entry, and hand harvest.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment within assigned areas.
• Utilize electronic data collection devices in field and laboratory settings.
• Organize, move, and store seeds, maintaining inventory accuracy with electronic systems.
• Adhere to task and safety instructions and support site safety requirements.
• Work extended hours during peak seasons.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Marshall, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
