ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in Des Moines, Iowa.

Job Details :

  • 16 hours per week guaranteed with potential for 36-48 hours per week
  • Overtime billable after 40 hours (36-40 hours per week) or after 48 hours (48 hours per week)
  • On-call requirements : up to 2 overnights per week and 4 weekends per 13-week contract
  • Weekend call schedule runs from Friday 5 : 00 PM through Monday 6 : 30 AM
  • Required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Years, or Thanksgiving)
  • Limited to 1 day off request between 11 / 26 / 25-11 / 30 / 25 and 12 / 23 / 25-1 / 2 / 26
  • Patient ratio of 1 : 1 with primarily cardiac cases and additional cases as needed
  • Average 35-50 cases per day with turnover expectations of less than 20 minutes
  • Must be able to both scrub and circulate
  • Work with specialized equipment including 3 DaVinci robots, Stealth technology for neuro navigation, and primarily Synthes or Stryker for ortho trauma
  • Service lines include cardiac / PV, neuro, ortho (primarily trauma), robotics, gyn, uro, general, pediatrics, and transplants
  • Required to float across all campuses including Iowa Methodist MC and Iowa Lutheran
  • Scrubs provided by facility
  • 3+ years of current OR experience in hospital / medical center required
  • Strong cardiac, vascular, thoracic proficiency and experience required
  • Level I trauma experience required
  • Must have completed a travel contract within previous 12 months
  • Scrub experience needed including open heart scrubbing
  • EPIC EMR experience required
  • Must have experience in cases outside of CVOR / Cardiac (neuro, ortho / trauma, general, gyn, pediatrics)
  • Required certifications : ACLS, BLS
  • Iowa nursing license required
  • Same day interviews available
