Job Description

The Arizona Diamondbacks organization is seeking a skilled, imaginative, and passionate Motion Graphics Designer to join our production team.

Under the guidance of the Motion Design Manager, this Designer will be responsible for creating dynamic, captivating animated content to satisfy a range of production assignments from across the organization.

Internal clients will include marketing, social media, broadcasting, community, and other departments. Additionally, the Designer will be tasked with conceiving and creating compelling, engaging content for in-game presentation on Chase Field's multiple LED boards, as well as provide graphics support for non-baseball events.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of visual design, composition, and timing, as well as a passion for providing quality content and industry-leading entertainment for our fans.

They will display a positive, collaborative spirit, with an ability to communicate effectively with other Team Members in service of our organization and its values.

Primary Duties

• Collaborate closely with the Motion Graphics Manager, video producers, graphic designers, social media and marketing teams, and other departments to service the production goals of the Diamondbacks.
• Complete production assignments with minimal supervision, follow the brand identity of the D-backs, accept constructive feedback, and provide deliverables to meet strict deadlines.
• Conceive and create dynamic, innovative animated video content for in-game playback.
• Provide design support for non-baseball events within Chase Field.

Competencies

• Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud suite (Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro, etc.)
• Knowledge of and experience with graphic design, typography, and color
• 3D animation experience preferred
• Video editing and / or live production experience a plus
• Experience with Daktronics and Ross Xpression software is a bonus
• General baseball knowledge required
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Self-motivated, with the ability to remain calm in high-stress situations
• Sense of humor
• Strong attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills
• Initiative and discipline to complete projects with limited supervision
• A professional attitude, receptive to creative feedback
• Willingness to work irregular and extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Experience / Education Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Motion Graphic Design, Video Production or closely related field
• 2+ years of professional experience in design / video production

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

• Work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays
• Travel less than 5%
• Perform physical activities such as setting up for an event and utilizing standard video camera equipment
