Job Summary

This MedSurg ICU position requires an experienced RN with recent Trauma Level I / II hospital experience and Epic EMR proficiency. The role involves managing high-acuity patients, titrating critical drips, and working in a fast-paced, intensivist-supported ICU environment.

Responsibilities

Manage nurse-to-patient ratios of 1 : 1 or 1 : 2 (1 : 3 if no vents / drips)

Provide care for cardiac, respiratory, trauma level III, and critical medical patients

Titrate and manage vasopressors, inotropes, antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, sedatives, paralytics, analgesics, anticoagulants, insulin, and other ICU drips

Perform ICU-level assessments and interventions for vents, sedation, sepsis, pressors, DKA, CHF, and respiratory cases

Collaborate with intensivists, hospitalists, NPs, RTs, PCAs, and monitoring support staff

Work with RT on vents, CPAP, BiPAP, high flow, ABGs, and assist MDs with bedside procedures

Document care in Epic EMR and follow ICU standards

Float to other units as needed (max 4 patients when floated)

Participate in self-scheduling and meet weekend / holiday requirements
