Job description

Senior Superintendent

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Superintendent with proven expertise in managing complex, mission-critical construction projects, particularly within data center environments. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of high-performance infrastructure builds, requiring exceptional leadership, technical acumen, and a deep understanding of the unique demands of secure, high-availability facilities.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Leading all on-site construction activities, ensuring alignment with project schedules, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  • Maintaining comprehensive daily logs of site conditions, progress, and issues; overseeing punch lists and managing closeout processes through final acceptance.
  • Collaborating closely with project managers to develop and execute detailed construction schedules, ensuring optimal sequencing and resource allocation.
  • Proactively identifying and resolving field challenges, minimizing risk and avoiding delays or change orders.
  • Coordinating site logistics, including temporary utilities and long-lead item tracking, to support uninterrupted operations.
  • Serving as the primary on-site liaison, ensuring clear communication between field teams, project leadership, and stakeholders.

Skills and requirements include :

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in commercial ground-up construction, with at least 6 years in a Superintendent role overseeing mission-critical or data center projects.
  • Demonstrated success in managing ground-up builds with stringent technical, security, and scheduling requirements.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to mobilize teams and resources to meet aggressive timelines.
  • Proficiency in construction management software including Procore, Bluebeam, and the Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • OSHA 30 Certification preferred.
