About The Position

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatrician to join our growing pediatric service in Utica, NY. This position offers a great work-life balance and the chance to work with a multidisciplinary pediatric team. Provide expert care on a 7-bed inpatient pediatric unit, perform emergency department consultations, and share coverage of the newborn nursery alongside neonatology specialists. Responsibilities also include teaching medical students and family medicine residents.

Responsibilities

Manage inpatient pediatric unit care (7 beds)

Provide pediatric consultations in the emergency department

Collaborate in shared newborn nursery coverage with neonatology service (no delivery attendance required)

Educate medical students and family medicine residents

Collaborate with pediatric-trained speech, occupational, and physical therapists

Utilize pediatric-certified echocardiography and lactation consulting support

Coordinate care with neonatology and pediatric subspecialty services

Job Requirements

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics (within 5 years of residency) – Required

Licensed to practice in New York or willing to obtain NY State License – Required
