Experience :

  • 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
  • Must have at least 24 months of Intensive Care Unit experience.
  • Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.
  • Trauma Level 1 experience is preferred from any number of months

Requirements :

  • Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required for submission).
  • This role will require floating to multiple units
  • Local & travel allowed. Candidates living
  • Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
  • 12 months between Staff at Program : Vaya Workforce Solutions - Marshfield Clinic Health System

    Required Skills / Experience Bed Side Shift Reporting (BSSR), utilization of AIDET, and hourly rounding are required for this unit and all RN units.

    Stroke knowledge is a must. High acuity mix of patients so need a strong ICU background.

    Willing to accept 1 year if they have good experience - ICU experience is a must (high acuity mix patients)

    Blood Product Administration

    Central line care / management

    Starting and maintaining IVs

    Assist with management of BiPAP

    Assist with management of CPAP

    Care of Ventilated Patient

    Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs)

    Suctioning (ETT, NT)

    Ventilator Management

    Chronic / Acute Renal failure

    Continuous IV sedation

    Emergency Medications

    Procedural Sedation Administration

    Titrate Cardiac drips

    Titrate Vasoactive drips

    Pre / Post Cardiac Cath / intervention

    Infection Prevention

    Isolation Precautions / Use of PPE

    Interpretation of dysrhythmias

    Management of dysrhythmias

    Management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction / failure

    IV insulin protocols

    Preferred Skills / Experience : Previous Charge Experience : Preferred

    Preferred Skills : PICC line management

    CVVHD / CRRT

    Continuous IV paralytics / Neuromuscular blockade

    CVA / Acute Stroke management

    External ventricular drain (EVD)

    Hypothermia protocol / Arctic Sun

    ICP monitoring

    Lumbar drains

    Post Craniotomy

    Post Neurosurgery management

    Spinal cord injury

    Traumatic Brain injury

    Impella

    Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump

    Pulmonary Artery Line / Swan Ganz monitoring

    Phlebotomy

    Surgical Wounds with drains / Wound Vac

    Neuro Intensive Care Unit

    Required Credentials : BSSR Attestation Certificate required

    Procedures / Diagnostics / Treatments Performed on Unit : Simple and complex dysrhythmia interpretation and intervention

    Hemodynamic stability monitoring and intervention

    Airway maintenance / oxygenation / ventilatory support needs

    Types of Patients on Unit : Adults, Geriatrics

    Patient Diagnoses :

    Myocardial infarction

    Acute coronary syndrome

    Cardiomyopathy

    Congestive heart failure

    Dysrhythmias

    Pulmonary Emboli

    Deep Vein Thrombosis

    Unit / Facility Details : Number of Beds : 16, Daily Census : 11

    Communication with AIDET, great customer service and phone etiquette is an expectation

    Drivers License / State ID

    Special Requests : If multiple holidays occur during assignment, facility will only accept 1 holiday RTO request

    Shift & Scheduling : 0700-1930, 1900-0730

    On-call only needed for low censusing

    EOW & EOH

    Floating Requirements : Float to Med / Surg or SICU as needed

    Staff are expected to float out of the unit first as a patient observer. This could end up being a majority of your shifts.

    5 days maximum time off

    2 references from last 12 months (Manager / Supervisor reference type) - required for submission

    Proof of identification required for submission
