Overview
Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US , is looking to hire a Refrigeration Technician in Upper Marlboro, MD ! The Refrigeration Technician is responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of medium duty fleet vehicles to ensure a safe and efficient operation. The Refrigeration Technician will require a high level of proficiency and working knowledge working on Reefer units, PMs, and A / C. Note you must have your 608 & 609. Required Reefer experience repairing the Refrigeration unit (Diesel Engine) on a Trailer. (Heavy-Duty Trailer Repair). Due to the nature of the repair flow, could repair some Trailers (DOT Inspections and Repairs) if Reefer Units are in working condition.
Compensation : $44.00-$50.00 Hourly Pay, Depending on Experience - Paid weekly, every Friday!
- Potential Sign-on Bonus up to $2,500 and eligible for other bonuses upon hire.
1st Shift : Sunday - Thursday : 8 : 00am - 4 : 30pm

Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computerPerform repairs and preventative maintenance to Reefer vehiclesPerform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation requiredComply with all applicable laws / regulations, as well as company policies / proceduresInspect and perform work on the under parts of vehiclesAccess any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenanceRemove or install various parts on vehiclesInteract with clients through both email or phone as necessaryPerform other duties as requiredWhat our ideal candidate looks like :
Experience with Reefer units (Thermo King and / or Carrier)607 and 608 Certifications a plusExperience with PMs and A / CMust have valid Drivers License- Class CMust provide own hand tools & toolbox.Proficient computer skills : knowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and EmailStrong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, supervisors, etc.)Work Conditions :
