Location : BWI Airport to Ashburn, VA (within a 60-mile service radius)
Office : Ashburn, VA 20147
Duration : 6-Month Contract (Temp to Hire Full-Time)
Hours : 1st Shift, Monday – Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM
Pay Rate : $31.25 / hr (Up to $46 / hr with Engineering Degree)
About the Role :
- We’re seeking a motivated and skilled Field Service Technician to join our growing team supporting Building Automation Systems (BAS) in the Northern Virginia and BWI corridor. This hands-on role offers a dynamic mix of fieldwork, technical problem-solving, and system commissioning, with strong potential for a full-time, permanent position after the initial 6-month contract.

What You’ll Do :
Install & Commission Systems : Integrate and bring Building Automation Systems online, ensuring seamless performance of HVAC and control components.Maintenance & Troubleshooting : Diagnose, repair, and maintain BAS components to ensure system reliability.Software & Networking : Manage BAS software downloads, updates, and verification to ensure accurate performance and communication.Calibration & Testing : Fine-tune and test HVAC and control systems for maximum efficiency.Monitoring & Diagnostics : Track system data, identify inefficiencies, and execute repairs or adjustments as needed.Compliance : Stay current on all required company and safety training.What We’re Looking For :
Education : Technical school graduate or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering (preferred).Certifications : Relevant credentials in BAS, HVAC, or Electrical Systems are highly desirable.Experience : 3–6 years in BAS controls, HVAC controls, Controls Commissioning, or PLC programming.Technical Skills : Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical systems, and computer networking.Problem Solver : Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.Communicator : Clear, professional communication with clients, technicians, and project teams.Compensation & Benefits :
