Job Title: Electrical EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team in South Florida. This role involves designing, analyzing, and reviewing power systems, including electrical schematics and load calculations for municipal water and wastewater system-related projects.
Responsibilities- Prepare technical documents and system modeling.
- Oversee construction projects and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide innovative solutions tailored to client needs.
- Serve as the Designer/Project Engineer on projects involving medium and low voltage power distribution systems, lighting systems, and grounding systems for municipal water and wastewater facilities and industrial projects.
- Develop design details for electrical power distribution systems (480V level), lighting systems, and control systems for major industrial facilities using recognized industry standards and specifications.
- Perform system calculations and studies for electrical power systems, load flows, voltage drops, and short circuit/coordination studies using electrical analytical software (E-Tap/SKM Tools).
- Coordinate with CAD Drafters to create new or modify existing drawings.
- Conduct field investigations and condition assessments of electrical power distribution and control equipment.
- Contribute to enhancing project efficiency and executing cost-effective strategies for impactful results.
Essential Skills- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
- 3+ years of design and engineering experience for industrial or complex commercial projects.
- Proven expertise in power system design, electrical schematics, and system analysis.
- Working knowledge of standards and codes pertaining to electrical distribution and control systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Effective communication skills – verbal and written.
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Water/Wastewater experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in industry-relevant software, tools, and system modeling applications.
- Preliminary knowledge of instrumentation devices (level/pressure/temp/flow) preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or commitment to obtaining one is preferred.

Lauderdale office has 6 employees, and the role requires presence in the office 4 days a week, with the option to work from home on Fridays. Meetings in the Tri County Area may be required 1-2 times a month.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.08/hr.
