Responsibilities
As Counsel Real Estate you will play a pivotal role in supporting Hines real estate operations across the Americas. Youll join a dynamic collaborative legal team and work closely with firmwide leadership and market-based development professionals. This is an opportunity to engage in high-impact transactions manage outside counsel and help drive the success of a world-class real estate platform. Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Transactional Leadership : Draft analyze and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements including development management license and service agreements.
Deal Execution : Oversee and coordinate outside counsel in the drafting and negotiation of purchase and sale agreements including managing checklists title and survey review and facilitating closings.
Financing Expertise : Manage outside counsel in the negotiation of loan agreements including review of guaranties SNDAs and other loan-related documents.
Risk Management : Analyze and advise on indemnity clauses guarantees and other contractual provisions to protect the companys interests.
Vendor & Broker Agreements : Review and negotiate vendor contracts broker listing agreements non-disclosure agreements and other real estate-related documents.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements include :
J.D. degree from an accredited top-tier U.S. law school.
Five or more years of relevant legal experience in real estate transactions; experience with real estate financing is strongly preferred.
Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas
Demonstrated success in a law firm or sophisticated in-house legal environment.
Highly confident articulate and self-motivated team player.
Proven ability to proactively identify issues develop practical solutions and resolve complex challenges in real estate matters.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple time-sensitive projects with a high degree of independence.
