Position Summary
A Retail Sales Associate must possess excellent sales skills. They must be outgoing, personable, and an active listener. Associates assist customers in the selection and sales of outerwear, apparel, equipment, accessories, ski, snowboard, and all other products in the store. Associate will sell products through the point of sale, handle cash, and credit cards. They must be familiar with retail shop merchandise as well as additional resort products and services. Duties include maintaining displays of products and restocking merchandise, researching product features and sharing knowledge with co-workers, assisting with merchandise check-in and internal transfers. Staff also assist with store merchandise security by providing excellent customer service and responding to inventory control alarm systems in accordance with defined procedures.

Gravity Sports at Mt Bachelor is a premier resort specialty ski and snowboard shop that transitions to downhill mountain bike, hiking, and outdoor gear in summer. Our staff is required to be knowledgeable and professional. Our staff must be passionate about sports and willing to use their knowledge to assist our guests in selecting the best products for them. Specific Job Skills
Technical : Comfortable with computers and able to learn Point of Sale software. Prior sales experience. Ski Industry and or Mountain Bike industry experience preferred.Physical Capabilities : Must be able to stand for a full shift.Education / Related Experience
Minimum education required : High School Diploma or equivalent.Minimum time in related position : 1 season.Current Hiring Rate : $16.50-17.00 hr.
Minimum Age Requirement : 18+
