Senior Licensed Practical Nurse

Position Summary

The Senior Licensed Practical Nurse (Senior LPN) provides advanced patient care and supervises LPNs and other nursing staff. This role involves coordinating patient care, mentoring junior nurses, ensuring compliance with healthcare protocols, and acting as a key liaison between patients, families, and the healthcare team. The Senior LPN contributes to clinical decision-making and quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Advanced Patient Care

Deliver high-quality patient care including administering medications, wound care, and monitoring vital signs.

Supervise, guide, and support junior LPNs and nursing assistants.

Assist in planning, coordinating, and evaluating patient care plans.

Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, charts, and reports.

Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and the healthcare team.

Qualifications

Diploma or certificate in Practical Nursing from an accredited program.

3-5 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably including supervisory responsibilities.

Advanced knowledge of nursing procedures and patient care best practices.
