Job descriptionAA or BS Degree in electrical engineering or relevant degree Min. 1-2 years of experience as a test technician (or college / internship experience) Knowledge of components : resistors, transistors, diodes, capacitors and their working relationships within the electronic design Must be able to read diagrams, test data, and software output as well as BOMs and assembly drawings Good analytical skills Ability to read and understand schematics Previous experience with Takaya, Spea, Acculogic, Digital Test equipment (a plus) MS Office skills required Interfacing with customers a plus
My client is hiring an entry level Test Engineer to operate test equipment and troubleshoot defective PCB and PCBA products. This is a Contract-to-hire, 2nd Shift position. Training will be provided for the person with relevant skills.
Duties :
- Troubleshoot, calibrate, and test electronic assemblies, instruments, and mechanical assemblies at the lower or component level.
- Operate production test equipment and troubleshooting defective products. (Flying-probe ICT testing of PCBAs)
- Perform detailed analysis on all test failures.
- Read and interpret schematics and drawings.
- Debug ICT / FT / Functional / RMAs / Flying Probe test failures.
