We are looking for a claims administrator professional for a new job opportunity in Santa Clara, CA. Responsibilities
- Review, track, and analyze tax‑related claims, ensuring accuracy and completeness of supporting documentation.
- Interpret and respond to notices from tax agencies (IRS, FTB, CDTFA, EDD) by researching issues and preparing required responses.
- Reconcile tax claim amounts against financial statements, filings, and internal records to identify discrepancies and recommend resolutions.
- Coordinate with accounting, legal, and external stakeholders to gather information and support claim resolution efforts.
- Maintain organized claim files and logs to ensure compliance, audit readiness, and timely follow‑up on open items.
- Prepare summaries, status updates, and supporting schedules for internal review and distribution planning.
Qualifications
- Experience working with tax agency notices and the processes required to resolve tax‑related claims or discrepancies.
- Familiarity with federal and state tax regulations and basic understanding of tax classifications, deadlines, and documentation requirements.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to review financial and tax documents and identify inconsistencies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with tax authorities and internal stakeholders.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational and time‑management abilities in a deadline‑driven environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other documentation or case‑management tools.
