As the Application Specialist for our Lab Products, your primary responsibility is to serve as the primary resource for Labconco's dealers and customers requiring technical information and applications support on assigned product portfolio.

The ideal candidate would have experience in a laboratory setting, understanding the use and application of laboratory equipment.

Serves as the primary resource for assigned product portfolio, as well as backup application support for all Labconco products and product lines.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide technical, application and sales support for Labconco products to all customer groups including but not limited to : Labconco Customer Service, Field Representatives, Inside / Outside Dealer Representatives; and End Users.
• Understand applications and operation of assigned product portfolio of sample prep equipment.
• Provide training on products in assigned product portfolio, as needed.
• Perform testing using Labconco equipment in Demo lab or Auditorium as needed / required to support customer questions or marketing efforts.
• Author application notes when applicable.
• Assist with Carbon-Filtered Enclosures marketing efforts by providing Chemical Assessments.
• Bring competitive product information, product improvement suggestions and new product ideas to the attention of the Product Manager.
• Develop good working relationships with Product Managers, Product Engineers and Product Service Representatives who share products in assigned product portfolio and cross train on product operation / application knowledge.

Other Duties

Performs other job duties as assigned by the Director of Lab Products.

Ability to legally drive a vehicle and travel up to 5% of the time may be required.

Education and / or Experience

Bachelor's degree from four year college or university; or one to two years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
