Position

Battery Algorithms Engineer / Engineer - Battery Algorithms

Responsibilities

• Work in a dynamic, cross-functional team to advance battery management features
• Contribute to the battery product for mass-market passenger vehicles and energy products
• Design and develop high quality battery controls to ensure safety and performance of vehicle battery packs in real time
• Design and develop accurate and robust battery algorithms and models (state of charge, state of energy, state of health) to optimize vehicle performance and customer experience
• Design and develop data-driven prognostic / diagnostic algorithms to detect premature battery aging and defects to prevent catastrophic failures
• Collaborate with controls, battery cells, embedded software, system engineering, and vehicle integration teams to define requirements and perform integration testing
• Verify and validate software using unit tests, hardware-in-the-loop testing, battery pack and vehicle testing
• Support the Battery Software department with additional duties as needed

Salary and Benefits

The compensation range is specific to locations and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay. Base Pay Range (Annual) : $128,800 - $177,100 USD

Additional Compensation and Benefits : Lucid offers medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. Eligible candidates may participate in Lucid's equity program and / or discretionary annual incentive program, subject to program rules. Cash or equity incentive awards depend on factors including individual and company performance.
