Senior Copywriter

MRM is looking for a Senior Copywriterto create on behalf of an award-winning brand. You’llbe responsible for ideation, concept development, and implementation of creative copy across multiple channels.You’re culturally fluent and aware of the work that is awarded by our industry (Cannes, One Show, D+AD etc). You’ll be expected to do the basics: write for email, site, social, CRM, OLA and print pieces. You’ll also be asked to find innovative, and non-traditional solutions for an exciting brand that is constantly exploring new ways to reach an audience.

Responsibilities:

• Write copy that’s spot-on brand voice

• Develop innovative experiences and activations that get the brand noticed

• Brainstorm and develop strategically sound creative concepts

• Produce work for a range of online and offline mediums - websites, landing pages, printed collateral, social, banners and emails

• Create and produce video content

• Stay current on existing, new, and emerging platforms

• Present work internally andoccasionally to clients, when needed

• Own a project from conception through completion

• Juggle multiple projects, stick to deadlines and ensure high-quality, error-free output

• Take direction from theCreative Director while continuing to learn

• Mentor junior writers

• Be a part of new business pitches

Requirements:

• 5+ years of copywriting experience

• A strong portfolio that showcases innovative thinking

• Strong strategic thinker with the ability to ideate

• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

• Fluent with a variety of AI tools

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• SEO and CRM experience always a plus

• Professional and proactive with the ability to keep cool and think clearly under pressure

• Experience leading creative projects from start to finish

Location:

MRM Detroit team members must reside in a commutable distance, or be willing to relocate, to the Detroit area unless otherwise agreed upon by their manager and MRM Detroit’s Human Resources team. MRM Detroit is a hybrid workplace with three days in-office per week.
